HOPE healthcare Team fighting against Covid-19 in Putao Area
(this is the Lisu Times’s translation of HOPE President’s request (written in Myanmar) for donation to buy an Ambulance to fight against Covid-19 in Putao)
Date- 15 Nov 2021Request for Donation to purchase an ambulanceDear Sir / Madam,(1) Since early November, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has risen sharply, and the death toll is also increasing in Putao, Kachin State. (2) We, the Mulashidi-based Hope local NGO, have been involved in rescuing patients in Putao area, using three wheels motor bikes, motorcycles which we have for transportation, and sometimes with hired cars. (3) However, at present, no motorcycle, three wheels motorbikes, and cars are available for rent (not suitable for Covid-19 patients transportation). Therefore, there is an urgent need for an ambulance to rescue Covid-19 patients.(4) We have well-trained healthcare workers for Covid-19 patients. we have also set up a covid-19 center and helping and caring the patients day and night. (5) Therefore, We urge you all to donate as much as you can to purchase an ambulance for transportation of Covid-19 patients from and to villages and Covid-19 center which we set up already.
